Government and public welcome the saving of several million pounds without the possibility of any negative consequences whatsoever.
It’s interesting that the civil servants have chosen this moment to demonstrate how utterly superfluous they are. Useless cunts.

I liked this line …
“The government says the changes will save £500m in taxpayers’ money.”
Don’t they mean that the strike will save etc etc?
A 30% return on the ballot? Am I reading that right? 70% of their members couldn’t be bothered to return their papers, and even then, of that 30% who did, only 63% of them voted ‘aye’?
The laws on strike action need tightening up, if this is considered a mandate for a walk out…
Striking? No, they look pretty ordinary to me….
I’ll wait for the productivity up 63% headlines then.
Where’s the rush of Libertarians defending the individuals right to withdraw the labour?
Of course the individual has the right to withdraw labour – that’s not at issue, is it?
Sadly, while the individual has all kinds of options, the employer is hamstrung with bullshit rules preventing him from dealing with recalcitrant loafers in the best interests of his business.
