Last Chance to Opt out of the widely visible NHS Summary Care Records?

The Government are putting a summary of your medical records on a computer database that will be accessible to thousands of non-medical staff.

For a catalogue of the reasons why you do not want to entrust your data to these careless muppets, see here:

On the basis that the Cons and Libs have reneged on their promise to ditch this nonsense, it’s worth pointing out that you can still opt out, but time is running out.

Albeit unsourced, I gather from Twitter that the deadline for opting out is 11th June.

Do it now.

Print it, sign it, drop it in your doctors letterbox tonight.

Is the last link supposed to link a standard letter? I can’t find it on the Big Brother site :)

You’ve been misled – the upload will commence area-by-area and practice-by-practice; there is no national deadline for opting-out. If you aren’t sure of the date (if one has even been set – probably not), contact your local GP
